During my mentorship at Barkley, I received the opportunity to participate in the creation of a Millennial advertising campaign for Daisy Cottage Cheese. Together with 18 other interns, we have worked 10 weeks to create a refreshing campaign that we presented to the client. Throughout the project I have been engaged in the concept creation, creative production, digital design, product development, and client presentation. The products on this page have been designed and executed by me.
Cross Platform App Design
Our target market consists of young individuals who use their mobile devices to find new recipes. For this reason, I decided to design a mobile app that allows users to find new cottage cheese recipes. While deciding on the features of the app, I took a user centered approach and interviewed Millennials. I recognized that Millennials don’t want to visit grocery stores on a daily basis. This insight led me to create a special feature called the “Fridge app”. This feature allows users to enter-in ingredients, which they already have in their fridge, and the app will find all the recipes with these ingredients.
One of a kind Recipe Book
The campaign book has two distinct stories behind it. The book was designed as a PR recipe book, which would be send to bloggers and influencers. After working on the book, the decision was made to use actual laser-engraved wooden covers for the Sincerely Different campaign book, which was send to the client to create a lasting impression.
Social Media Profiles
Social media is essential to building relationships with current and potential customers. Millennials are very tech-savvy and use social media throughout their daily lives. Especially Pinterest was identified as an important platform for the food industry. Throughout the different social media platforms, we decided to use a minimal amount of branding to ensure editorial authority and reduce the “advertising feeling”.
